FAQ

Do your hardware wallets come with a manufacturer warranty?

Yes.

Because we are authorized retailers of all the hardware wallets we sell and have close partnerships with these companies, all of our products come with the full manufacturer warranty.

What to do if my device is lost or stolen?

If your device were to fall into the hands of a third party, a PIN number will prevent them from accessing your funds.

As long as you have your 12, 18 or 24 word seed, you can enter it into any compatible software or hardware wallet and recover your assets.

Why is it important to buy from an authorized retailer?

Hardware wallets are known for their improved security for digital assets over software wallets and exchanges that are susceptible to hackers and security lapses.

But the security of hardware wallets is useless if you cannot trust the seller who is selling you a new or used hardware wallet. Recent stories have emerged claiming that unauthorized wallet resellers on platforms like eBay and Amazon can tamper with the wallets and steal assets completely unbeknownst to the consumer.

It is wise to purchase exclusively from exclusive authorized resellers such as The Crypto Merchant, to ensure the safety and authenticity of your hardware wallet.

What are the differences between the Trezor One and the Trezor Model T?

The main difference of the Trezor Model T compared to the Trezor One, is that the device now uses a touchscreen instead of two buttons. The touchscreen improves the security, because now the pin, recovery seed and passphrase are entered exclusively on the device and not on the computer. The touchscreen also makes entering this information as well as approving and verifying transactions easier and more efficient. USB-C connector and an SD card slot.

The Trezor Model T supports all of the coins that the Trezor One supports, plus many more coins. The device has new software and hardware components that increases Trezor’s ability to add more coins with upcoming projects.

The Model T has a new, faster processer and operating system. The USB-C connector is compatible with any computer or mobile device. The SD card slot can be used for data encryption, password management and upcoming offline transaction signing. These new features are included so the device can expand its functionality with future updates.

Can I import my coins from my Trezor One to the Trezor Model T?

Yes, you can import all of your coins from your Trezor One to your new Trezor Model T.

You can do this by importing your 12,18 or 24 word recovery seed from Trezor One onto the new Trezor Model T.

Both of your devices will then have the same wallet with all the same coins and balances. All Bitcoin, Ethereum, and altcoin addresses will be preserved.

You can also import the recovery passphrase from an old wallet to the Trezor Model T.

Trezor One: The Crypto Community's Most Trusted Wallet Includes Unlimited Coin Storage & Password Management.

LONGEST TRACK RECORD - The Trezor team was the first out of the gate with a bulletproof cold storage hardware wallet. This gives them the longest track record in the space, earning them a loyal, trusted following. Their open-source code has been reviewed by renowned security experts across the globe.

NO COIN LIMIT - Unlike some other popular crypto wallets, the Trezor has no limit on the number of different coins you can store on a single device, making it an excellent value. Store all of your different cryptocurrencies on one single Trezor device.

TRANSACT IN TOTAL PRIVACY - With Trezor, your cryptocurrency hardware wallet remains completely decentralized. Never let a third party know your private key or be privy to your transaction history. Be your own bank, now and forever.

PASSWORD & DIGITAL IDENTITY MANAGEMENT - A Trezor hardware wallet doubles as a fully encrypted password management device. Traditional password managers share one weak point; the master password. Trezor Password Management software doesn't require a master password. Instead, your Trezor hardware is the master key to your passwords, providing ultimate security.

SECURE YOUR FUTURE -  It is well known by now that storing your Cryptocurrency in a software wallet is a bad idea. With Trezor, you'll never worry again about malicious hackers and security lapses. The Trezor One stores your private keys in its secure element, which is a tamper-proof chip that ensures the safety of your keys. The cryptocurrency hardware wallet also has a built-in display so that you can confirm all transactions before confirming them on your computer or mobile device. This way, you can be sure that your transaction will go through as intended and that your private keys are safe.

VERIFIED AND INSPECTED - This Trezor wallet is guaranteed inspected and verified secure. Given the value of the assets you are likely to be storing on your Trezor hardware wallet, purchase with the peace of mind that you are receiving a verified secure unit to store your hard earned cryptocurrency assets.

Super easy to use, exactly what I wanted.

I LOVE the trezor one. The simplicity and size of it, the fact that it doesn't have Bluetooth or anything like it, and that it in fact doesn't even have a battery so it draws power strictly from bus power of the device you plug it into, the fact that smartphones/tablets/darn near anything with a camera can accurately read QR codes from the tiny screen (lighting is important, PWM-dimmed LEDs can present read issues but at least I've never had a bad read), it's all awesome imo. The shuffled pin # readout is great. Some people are put off by regular updates but to me it instills greater confidence in the product, tells me that Trezor is always on the lookout for security exploits. I tried and still have some "fancier" hardware wallets first and I'll continue using them for broader blockchain asset support but the trezor one turned out to be exactly what I wanted for the majority of my blockchain assets. I intend to buy at least one more for myself and probably a few more as "stocking stuffers" over the holidays that my family forces me to participate in :) and I'll probably give a model T a shot to hopefully replace the other "fancier" hardware wallets I use too; "features" like Bluetooth are somewhat purpose-defeating, no? I contacted multiple mfgrs to make sure that TheCryptoMerchant is a legit authorized source and all told me to buy from TCM with confidence, I'm glad I did because the device arrived mega fast in discreet packaging, and all seals were intact with no signs of tampering whatsoever. The device had never been set up previously like you'll find with ebay and Amazon scammers. From now on I'll buy only from TheCryptoMerchant and I highly recommend TCM as well as the Trezor One. Combined with a few other investments including multiple heavy duty steel-and-firebrick custom water and fire-resistant safes strongly anchored in multiple hidden locations with NO "BACKUP KEYS," only combos that exist in my brain alone until I can no longer regularly confirm my physical and mental health, makes me extremely confident that I can hodl as securely as possible while still passing on my assets when I myself pass on. Eventually it's worth investing a G or two, or maybe three or four (if you can't weld & do your own demo/anchoring/concealing work, which you really should unless you're at least bright enough to significantly downplay what your laborers think you're storing or at least have very strong confidence in their discretion) in protecting your assets, if you're hodling multiple btc and trading btc/other coins regularly then you're probably betting on your blockchain assets doing more than just providing basic support to your loved ones when you're gone, so spend the relative pittance it costs to secure your assets! TCM and trezor ftw!

    Great Value

I purchased the Trezor One because of the Exodus Wallet. Everything worked out fine with the installation because of the Trezor Suite. I believe that this was an excellent decision and the crew at The Crypto Merchant made the process so easy!! If you are looking to protect your cryptocurrency, I highly recommend the Trezor One for beginners!!!

    Nice wallet

I am a very NON- tech savvy person, but found this to be fairly easy to set up. I use an android tablet and phone, not a regular laptop, and once I was able to get them set up, it was easy to transfer my coins to the wallet. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a secure place to store your coins. Completly offline and easy to access

    From a non tech guy

I am not the most technical guy, I am still a little old school. I will have to say I am SUPER impressed with not only the device which gives me peace of mind to secure funds but with probably one of the best customer service around. Whether you are new to the crypto world or not , you can't put a price on protecting your assets or customer service.
